Warfare in Medieval times was fought at various scales.  Everything from Viking Raids, Private Wars between Noble Houses and Tribal Clashes right up to full on Border Wars between Nations can be fought in this period.

This period offers a wide scope for wargamers to enjoy.  Our Members have also competed against one another in several SAGA campaigns where the eventual Victor laid claim to the Crown through guile and prowess on the battlefield!

Ancient Warfare was a brutal clash between huge units of armed men. Thousands of warriors fought and died as the Empires of the Age sought to expand their borders, conquering the lands and people around them.

Great Battles were fought between the massive armies of these Empires; Rome, Persia, Greece, Egypt and Gaul; and it is the sheer scale and spectacle of these battles that appeals to a great many wargamers today.
